A SOURCE OF EXTRA INCOME
In this DIY friendly age, the internet has revolutionized the possibilities available for anyone from artists to craftspeople to business-savvy entrepreneurs to make a few extra bucks (or more) online. One of the areas I've branched out into is selling my photos and digital art online through stock sites. Recently, however, I've discovered ZAZZLE which allows you to upload an unlimited amount of good quality (apparently they do check for quality) photos, illustrations, digital artwork etc. to be placed on various products like iPad cases, t-shirts, bumper-stickers, mouse pads etc.
It's important to fill out the keywords as best as possible, otherwise, the uploading and creating of your store is pretty simple. Once you sign up and begin to upload your best shots, you can customize your store so it reflects your personality.
I can literally create an interesting piece of digital art or shoot a funky looking photo that might never be accepted at any stock site, but looks great on a t-shirt, throw it into photoshop or illustrator, add some funny text within Zazzle, keyword it and boom, product created.
Who knows who will type in 'iPhone cases' and come across your simple drawing of the hang-mans game with half the word 'Screwed' under the half-drawn hanging man and think it's the funniest thing since sliced bread...and poof, you're right up there with the guy who invented the Pet Rock. Hey that's actually a good idea. I'm off to make it. Check out my store to see the product once it's done!
Have fun creating!
